QuickBooks Accounting Software Products

This category includes all the different accounting products available directly from Intuit: Simple Start, Pro, Premier, Enterprise Solutions, QuickBooks Online, and all industry specific editions. Small Business Diagnostic Tools

Over time I personally have worked with about 1,500 small businesses, plus I present QuickBooks seminars to about 1,500 Accountants each year. What I hear time and time again is that although QuickBooks (and business in general) does not seem to be too hard, it always seems like there are things that are overlooked. That is the purpose for our diagnostic tools. Most small business owners have some idea of if their business is doing well or not, and most bookkeepers, consultants and Accountants have the knowledge and skills to help their clients be more effective, efficient, and profitable. The challenge is usually having a standardized approach to getting the work done in a consistent, organized way that ensures key issues are not missed and the feedback provided to the client is clear and documented. That is the need this suite of tools addresses. Currently there are two editions: QuickBooks Edition (more than 170 QuickBooks specific questions) and Business Management Edition (about 100 questions that are applicable to any business no matter what accounting software they are using).

QuickBooks Add-Ons & Utilities

QuickBooks Add-Ons, by our definition, are those products which provide specific functionality enhancements not available through QuickBooks products directly. This may be feature enhancements such as enhanced customer relationship manangement features like marketing e-mails and activity logs, PDA integration for field people in a service business, document management capabilities, printing checks on blank check stock, etc. Typically these are programs that are used regularly by QuickBooks users as a front end interface.

As compared to QuickBooks Utilities that are those products which make our job easier or more efficient. Some common examples are data transfer tools that permit moving transactions from one file to another, excel Add-Ins that can extract information from QuickBooks to make manipulation or access to data possible that cannot be done any other way, or tools that automate the process of receiving data that is used to update the QuickBooks data file (such as information that comes in via e-mail and then is used to automatically create sales receipts in QuickBooks with little or no user intervention). These are typically tools which are used behind the scenes to eliminate time consuming data entry projects when information is already available electronically.
